Students had a great time at our reading camp out party today. Be sure to ask them about it over the weekend. Spring pictures have been rescheduled for April 17th. More information will come as we get closer to the date.
Next week, students will finish our current rotation of technology and start a new rotation in art on Wednesday. Wednesday is also an Early Release Day. Our Book Fair is also going on next week. If you would like to shop with your student and enjoy some pastries in the library, please fill out the flyer and return it to me as soon as possible. Doing so will help Ms. Thurman plan for this special event. If you cannot make it to the Book Fair, you can send money in with your child so they can shop at school. I will be sending students in small groups to shop throughout the week. The Book Fair will also be open in the morning on Saturday, March 28.
Next week, students will learn how a character's point of view affects their tone voice when speaking. Students will also learn how to write opinion paragraphs. In math we will start a new unit where we will explore place value, base ten, comparing numbers, odd and even numbers, as well as, telling time. A link to this week's homework can be found here. Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
Highest Regards,
Gina Weber
