I am looking forward to seeing the beautiful faces of our sweet class and hearing about their fall break adventures on Monday! I hope all of you are enjoying the time together and making the most of this amazing autumn weather! Students will go to Technology at the start of the week and then begin a 5 day rotation of Art on Wednesday. In addition, we will have our fall party on Friday afternoon. Donations of construction paper and other crafty- card making supplies will be greatly appreciated for our fall party.
This week's homework can be found here. If your student intended on completing the optional writing homework for October and haven't already turned it in, please remember that it will be due on Friday. Also, for students who would like to participate in the Dear Student Blog for October, please make sure this is done by Friday as well.
This week, students will begin a new unit in math. Please see the Newsletter page of our class website for more information on this new unit. Students will also finish up ELA Unit 2 this week by completing their research paragraphs on the animal they chose to research in class. In science, students will learn about the water cycle. We will also have a Word Wall test on Friday. Please be on the look-out for a conference sign-up form in your student's Communication Folder this week.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. Second grade parents are the best!
Highest Regards,
Gina Weber
