I hope you all enjoyed the Tellagami your student made at school last week. Students worked very hard on them, and had a lot of fun making them. In addition to researching idioms to discover their figurative meaning, students also participated in Idiom Plays which were performed for our class and other classes reader's theater style. These can be viewed on the Student Work and Videos page of our class website. All of them should be up by Tuesday of next week. Please take a moment to view them, and leave your child a message in the comments section of this blog. They will enjoy reading your feedback!
Updates have been made to the Newsletter, Student Blog, and Word Wall pages of our class website. Students who participate in the Student Blog by Friday, May 30th will be rewarded with prizes! Let's see if we can get the whole class to participate in our final student blog of second grade!
Students will go to art this week, and all library books need to be returned by Thursday, May 16th. Don't forget to turn in your year book order forms while you still can! I highly recommend writing your student's name your yearbook so they do not get mixed up with others. I will be placing the last Scholastic Book order of the year on Friday, May 24, so be sure to stock up on books for summer reading! Finally, if you would like to chaperone a small group of students on our Louisville Zoo field trip (May 23), please let me know as soon as you can.
Highest Regards,
Gina Weber
