My mother taught me very early to believe I could achieve any accomplishment I wanted to. The first was to walk without braces.”
Wilma Rudolph quotes (First American woman Runner to win three gold medals at a single Olympics. 1940-1994)
As we welcome in the new year, it is importatnt to reflect back on the beauty of 2012. At school, we are using a biography of Wilma Rudolph, Wilma Unlimited, along with some other texts to help us recall and write about our 'Proud Moments of 2012.' All students are encouraged to publish their proud moments right here on this blog. I can't wait to read about and celebrate your accomplishments with you and the rest of our classroom community!
For me, I have two proud moments to share. One was completing my National Board Certification which was one of the most rigorous learning experiences of my professional life, and the other was getting my job here at Crestwood. I love being an Oldham County teacher, and am glad to be back!
