My mother taught me very early to believe I could achieve any accomplishment I wanted to. The first was to walk without braces.”

Dear Students,
As we welcome in the new year, it is importatnt to reflect back on the beauty of 2014. At school, we will use a biography of Wilma Rudolph, Wilma Unlimited, along with some other texts to help us recall and write about our 'Proud Moments of 2014.'
One of the many things we can be proud of in 2014 is that we were selected to represent Crestwood as a lab classroom for the Oldham County Litercy Initiative. Being invited to open our doors to teachers from across the county was not only an honor, but a wonderful learning experience we got to share together. Not only were we able to inspire teachers, but we had the opportunity to grow as thinkers and learners from their feedback. I can't wait to see the opportunities that come our way in 2015!
I encourage you to describe and publish one of your proud moments from 2014 right here on this blog. I can't wait to read about and celebrate your accomplishments with you and the rest of our classroom community!
