Dear Students,
One of the best things about being a teacher is that I get to have two resolutions for each new year. One for the new calendar year and one for the new school year! Just to get our year off to a great start, I thought we could share a resolution or a goal we have for ourselves this school year. Maybe you want to focus on becoming a better reader or mathematician. Maybe you want to work at making meaningful friendships, or maybe you want to learn a new game or sport. Whatever you decide, remember to keep it simple and easily attainable.
My resolution is to focus on the many positive moments that happen every day. I recently heard a song that can't wait to share with you called, Beauty in the World by Macy Gray. I plan on making it a theme for our class this year, so we will get to know this song very well. I am also resolving to do everything I can to make sure my oldest daughter Maddie has the best start to school that I can give her. I am so excited that she is in kindergarten at Crestwood!
So now it's your turn. Please spend some time thinking about your school-year's resolution. Talk about it with your family and list some ways they can help you attain your goals. Then, post your resolution on this blog telling what it is and why it's meaningful for you. I can't wait to read what you have to share!
Highest Regards,
Ms. Weber
