This week, students will be using the iPads for a project using the Tellagami app. Please be on the lookout this week and next for an email from your child sharing this project with you. Students will also participate in idom plays (reader's theaters) at school this week. This will give them a chance to practice proper fluency and expression while learning more about the figurative language of idioms. In writing, students will continue to practice proper paragraph writing in the form of a friendly letter. Students may enjoy practicing what they learn by writing letters to friends and family members.
In science, we will begin a new unit on force and motion.
In math, students will continue to study the number bonds of ten- how they relate to subtraction and how they apply to word problems.
Students will go to music from Mon.-Wed. and then begin a 5 day rotation of P.E.
A link to this week's homework can be found here.
Finally, don't forget that this Wednesday is an early release day. Please make sure your child knows how they will be going home on this day, and please provide a note if your child's transportation will be different.
Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
Highest Regards,
Gina Weber
