I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing break. Hopefully, spring will make it's presence known in the upcoming weeks with lots of sunshine and warmer weather. I'll take a few showers at this point if it means the frosty cold air will go away until next year! This week, students will bring home a permission slip for a field trip to see Charlotte's Web on April 24th. Please sign and return it as soon as possible. Also, in the month of April, students will participate in the third and final session of the MAP test. This test will show your child's growth in reading and math since the beginning of the school year. Students will also complete the DRA2 assessment which will give additional information about their growth in reading. You can help your child prepare for these assessments at home by reading nightly and completing ScootPad practices as often as possible. Speaking of ScootPad, did you know that your child can turn in the coins they earn for a variety of prizes? Please check out the 'Rewards' tab on the ScootPad site for more information on this. Additional (and exciting) updates have also been made to the Newsletter and Student Blog pages on our site. Please read and discuss them with your child this week.
Highest Regards,
Gina Weber
