Students will begin the P.E. rotation on Monday, April 15th. Please make sure they are dressed appropriately for physical education class. Also on Monday, students will have a letter in their blue communication folders about the t-shirts we will be tie-dying for our upcoming field trip to the zoo (May 17th) and for the last day of school (May 28th). Please also consider donating supplies needed for this fun project! Speaking of donations, we are completely out of tissues in our class. If your child needs tissues, please send some in from home for them to keep at their seat. If you are able to send some in for the class, we will be very thankful for your generosity! Also, the permission slips for our field trip to Charlotte's Web need to be in by next Friday, April 19th, and our official date for the third and final MAP test is on Friday, May 26th.
Finally, we will be having our annual read-a-thon April 29th-May 3rd. Students will log their reading during this week, and they will be asked to turn in their pledge money on May 6th and 7th. An ice cream party will be awarded to the class in K-2 that raises the most money. Prizes will go to the one student who raises the most in K-2 as well. More information about this will come in a future message.
Please remind your student to take one Reading Counts Test by April 25th, to complete their assignments on Scootpad this week, and to read for their reading log. This week's reading logs are due Friday, April 19th.
Highest Regards,
Gina Weber
